Leveling Kits And Warranty?

Does a leveling kit void you factory warranty? Has anyone had any experiences with warranty repairs after a lift?

Just want to double check before I go ahead with one. I will also ask my dealer.

Thanks

I talked to the wheel/ tire guy at my dealer and he wants to do one for me....they use Daystar/ $500. I figure that if they do them themselves, they can't void the warranty if you get one someplace else, but you might have to argue about it. Let us know what your dealer says.

I've had a dealer claim that more aggressive tires (same size as stock) caused the steering pump to fail on my 05 with 6000 miles.... And I had to go up the chain to get the parts warrantied. Fwiw, that dealer went out of business 2 years ago.

So it probably is going to come down to the dealer.

If you're having parts installed there, make sure you don't sign a form waiving warranty rights.... They'll try to slip that in there with your payment paperwork.

Okay my dealer just informed me that they are clamping down and it will prob void my warranty. He has been asked just resently to send pics to the warranty center on such cases before they will cover repairs, so I think I might hold off. That sucks.

If anyone has any other ifo pleasse let me know.

Might be for the best, I have been hearing a lot about balljoint issues on these trucks.... And let's just say that a leveling kit, regardless of height, doesn't exactly help.
