New Backup Camera

Hey guys I just got through installing my new back up camera. I got an Audiovox ACA200W from work for $56.00. I was pondering for a while where to put it, since I didn't want it on my license plate and I'm not as lucky as you GMT900 guys, who can gate the tail gate latch camera. So I decided to mount it in center of the hitch, it fits perfect. The picture quality is great for a cheepy camera. Next stop is Radio shack this afternoon to pick up a switch so I can turn on the camera even if I'm not in reverse. Here are a couple of pics.

Nice job. How did you mount it?

For now I used some high strength weather proof 3M double sided tape. I've used the same tape before for other applications with no problems. Its the same type thats used on body moldings. I was to lazy, more like I have to big of a head ache, to pull the hitch an drill and tap screw holes in the bottom of the bumper.

is that head-unit a DNX5120? that's the head unit I wanted (looks like Kenwood has discontinued it  )!

install looks real clean!

It's a DDX-512. same unit as the DNX-5120 without the built in nav. You are correct though Kenwood has discontinued both the DDX-512 and the DNX-5120. They have been replaced by the DDX-514 and DNX-5140. Which are for all intents and purposes the same units. Go but the DNX-5140 you won't be disappointed.

It sure is. as long as the head unit uses an RCA connector for R-Cam input your good to go.
