Hi guys 99 chevy 7.4L 4l80E transmission. This weekend on the way home from a fairly lengthy trip mu truck started to stumble or lightly sputter at about 70-75mph. Not a constant sputter but a noticeable one. It comes and goes. Now it does it also under acceleration now but again comes and goes. Seems to be around 2000-2500 rpm. Truck idles fine and shifts okay. I put a gas treatment in it and to no avail improvment as of yet. Could the mass air flow sensor be dirty? I have seen others here in the forum say this can cause a host of problems. Any opinions or ideas more then welcome

Its possible as I see your running a K&N filter and the oil used to treat the filter will build-up on the maf sensor, it doesnt take much to clean it as you can get the cleaner spray at your local auto parts store.

Bought some cleaner to clean the MAF sensor so we'll see what happens. Also got throttle body cleaner as well. Anyone ever use the Sea Foam Gas treatment. The guy at O'Reiley recommended it. No Check Engine Light that would be to easy right.
