last week i asked for some advice on leveling kits, to which a few members posted their opinions. thank you for the help. i decided on a rear shackle kit. it was 80 bux and it took me two hours to install. what do you think?

hey wacko, it was a bell tech kit and installation was fairly easy. i had to loosen the tow hitch in order to get the shackle to frame bolts out. no big deal though, i just removed all but two of the hitch nuts and bolts. i loosened the two front hitch mounting nuts and let the hitch pivot down in the back. slid the bolts out and installed the new shackles. buttoned it up in reverse order.

my advice would be to use a deep socket and an end wrench, becuase there isnt much room for tools between the bed floor and frame rails. it was also easier when the truck is about 8-10 inches off the ground, on jack stands. then you have plenty of room to lift and lower the rear axl as needed. thats how i did it in my driveway. i look forward to seeing yours finished.
