What Should I Do? Leveling Kit, Suspension Lift Or Body Lift?

I've been thinking for a while about switching up my suspension on my 1994 GMC Sierra 4x4 a bit. I know I don't want more than 3 inches of lift. I'm not really familiar with what each different kind of lift does, so any advice or ideas would be helpful. Also I'm probably not going to be changing my tires right away for monetary reasons. I want to stay in the 500 dollar range which I know is going to make things tough. So name some brands or whatever you want I'm sure it will help me out. Thanks :idiot:

to stay under the $500 dollar range and also since you only want 3" of lift it seems like your only option is gonna be do a body lift. btw thats not really gonna switch up your suspension any.. just your bodys ride height.

im working on lifting my truck too. For that price the only thing u can do is a body. A 3in suspension lift from rough country is around 1000 and its that same for the 6. But at that price u cant really do much. i would say just do a leveling kit.

Well I found a couple of 3" body lifts for right around $170. Other than the cost of the kit is it an expensive project?

No, it's fairly simple if you know what you're doing. It's a 2 man job for most of it. Another thing to consider is that with a 3" body lift, your stock tires are going to look tiny.
