CMT would not allow Charlie Daniels to play his new song, "This is a Flag, not a Rag" at their "Concert for Freedom" for fear of offending someone!

I heard that from Charlie himself on JB&B this morning.

No more CMT in my house. I'd just as soon see Richard Gere and Ol' Big Legs.

Y'all should email CMT from this link and let them know how bad they screwed up.

I'm about sick of all these places worried about offending others.  What about all of us who were offended on September 11th??

 

I like what Rumsfeld said when asked about being worried about the reactions of 20 to 30 Afgan civilians being killed during the U.S. bombings.  Something to the effect of "I'm more worried about the 5000 people who were lost on September 11th"  Those were not his exact words, but it was something like that.

I second that!  Well said Tom.  I thought I would share what I sent to CMT with you guys.  It was really hard to keep this clean.

 

Here it is:

 

YOU GUYS SUCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   I don't see how you can consider yourselves Americans.  From this point foward CMT will NEVER be viewed in my house again, and I plan to get everyone I know to do the same.  If you don't like the song "This is a Flag, Not a Rag" then you should pack up and go to Afghanistan, maybe Bin Laden will watch your station.  It's nice to know that the channel that presents the music that is truly American is ashamed of our flag.  Next thing you know the CMT symbol will be a Swastika.  KISS OFF CMT !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ever noticed that in the upper left hand corner of the screen on CMT, they put the little ribbon?  And they won't play that song?  Why the hell don't they take the ribbon symbol off then?  What a bunch of self-serving wimps!  Boycott CMT!

I just sent mine in as well.  Here it is......

 

I don't understand the whole thing about not playing this song.  This is AMERICA. Remember the 1st Amendment, Freedom of speech.  Your worried about offending someone for playing this song.  Well you have just offending a whole lot more people than you can ever imagine.  I am doing my best at not saying how I really feel and putting it in a little nicer way.  I am an avid country listener and I do watch CMT.

I will no longer watch until this video is played.  I may only be one person, but remember this, I am the customer.  And you are not providing the service I want.
