Older Wheels On 01 2500hd ?

The wheels on my 2001 2500 HD are coming apart, the chrome over lay is coming loose from the wheels and won't allow the center caps to stay tight, I bought new plastic caps and all, So I came across a set of wheels off a 1996 Silverado.

 

I wanted to know if these will fit and if anyone else was using these wheels??

if the 96 was a 1/2 ton, the wheels will not fit unless they are off of a 4x4. If they are off of a 3/4 ton, they should fit.

The wheels are 8 lugs wheels off a 3/4 ton

Then yes, they will bolt up. 1996 and 2001 2500's have a 8 x 6.5 bolt pattern.

 

Just FYI...I misspoke when I said the 4x4 would fit. They are actually a 6 lug and the 1500 was a 5 x 5.5 bolt pattern.
