100k Tune-up Plugs&wires O2's?

Time for the 100k tune-up/PM. 5.3 still hasn't missed a beat and I'm tempted to just replace with OEM parts starting with plugs & wires. What's everyone using? OEM, Bosh, NGK? Any real advantage for a daily driver stepping up to a heavier 8mm or better wire over the stock 7mm ? Heck they're only 'bout 9" long. How about any of the fancy plugs with multiple ground electrodes ? Are you guys replacing the O2's on a PM basis or just run em till there is a problem?

Thanks

I used AC/Delco on my 01 with the exception of Bosch o2's. I replaced the o2's at about 85K because I noticed a drop in mileage as I track every tank. Turned out my o2 sensors were getting lazy. Not bad enough to set a code but bad enough to kill the mileage. Mileage went back up as soon as I replaced them. At $70ea they were not cheap but the extra mileage paid for them. Also, no point in replacing the rear sensors as they only tell you the cats are working.

Wow.

I think you are the first one to use Bosch o2's....THAT WORK.

They have a long reputation of not working in GM applications.

Back to the OP.

As to the plugs/wires, use what ever the AcDelco book shows.

They got you to 100K didn't they?

Your are right, 9" of plug wire difference between 7/8/9 mm is hard to measure, especially for street applications. But your wallet and butt may notice the "upgrade".

All I could get quickly. Fortunately I never had issues with them and I had over 120K on the bosch when I sold it. Originals went at 70K but I also think I helped by putting in a gallon of racegas when I ran out on the highway and had to use dirtbike fuel. Don't think o2's like lead
