Fuel Filter, 02 Yukon, Flex Style?

I know I've got a serviceable filter, and I know where it is. (02 Yukon 5.3L) And it only has a flare nut on the back end. I don't recognize the kind of fitting that is on the engine side. Apparently this is called a "flex filter", whatever that means. I've searched here, but didn't find much helpful on replacing it, and I suppose after 130K I'm due. I have the 4 volume GM manual, but vol 2 is curiously awol.

I have a pressure gauge, and I can blowdown the pressure. I read I need a special tool? Can someone step me through the rest of the procedure?

Thanks

You probably need a tool like this:

It slips around the fuel line and then you press it into the joint, causing the fitting to expand outwards slightly and release while pulling it apart.
