Needed--4x4 --switch

i am in need of a push button 4X4 switch for and '03 Silverado. it has to be the kind with only 2hi,4hi,and 4lo. it doesnt matter if some of the lights are burnt out, as long as it works and looks goood. GM dealer wants $75 thats even my cost.

 

any help would be great....thanks

Are you sure its the switch and not a fuse? I had a 2002 silverado that the switch seemed to be broken and the idiot light was on. It turned out to be a fuse and not the switch. I forget which fuse it is but hopefully someone else can chime in and let you know. Otherwise I do have one but some of the backlights are out.

Another thing to try first, open up the switch and touch each of the soldered joints on the back of the printed circuit board with a soldering iron, just enough so the solder briefly flows again...if you look first with a magnifying glass, bet you'll see hairline cracks...which is why the switch stops working...a common issue...there is a thread on here somewhere about it...

i know its the switch cause now 4lo dont even work and the fuse is always the first thing i check with elec. problems thanks though for the reply.

Do you have a yellow light on in your message center as well? If not, your probably right its the switch. I have a switch from my 2002 Silverado that has Auto, 4Hi and 4-Lo is this what your looking for? FYI, I rember the fuse was in the BEC under the hood...

no my service 4x4 is not on. and the fuse under hood was good changed it anyway just incase, well it didnt change anything. the switch i need is for an 03 and newer without the "Auto" button just "2hi,4hi,4lo"
