Stock CD player questions

I have a 1995 k1500 with the cd player in the dash seprately. It doesn't like to take CDs anymore. It tries 3 times and them spits it out with an err message on the radio. Every once in a while it takes it and works fine. If its not fixable I was wondering if I could put in an aftermarket CD changer somewhere like under the seat maybe and still use the radio to control the changer?  Thanks for your help.

Alright, I know that the new and old body style trucks all have the same stereos.  Now, what you can do is pick up another CD player on Ebay or check around the truck forums to find one that's for sale.

You can check this out, there is a Pioneer 12 disc changer that will plug right into it.  Another option is an FM modulated changer.  MountaineerTom has one so maybe he could shed some light on it for you.

Almost forgot, welcome to the forum
