Seeking The Truth

hi everyone,

its been awhile since ive been here, i was in AZ for some work training. anyhow heres my dilemma that im hoping someone here can shed some light on. ive searched and found an answer but the dealership directly contradicted what ive read.

im starting with an 07 classic silverado. onstar and bose UQ7, with steering controls.

i found a 06 stock navi. touch screen double din from a suburban. the part no. is 15800000.

can i plug and play this unit in my truck? the dealership says it wont work, period. the info. i found here says it will but it doesnt exactly specify for 07 classic. it specifies 2003-2006. the fact that i have a 07 seems to confuse me and most people when i try to purchase something that is model specific. due to the gmt800 and 900 differences. so basically im relying on the experts here for the quick ya or na answer. thanks a lot. its good to be back.
