Console Swap

I recently got an 09' Sierra and it came with the center console that has no flip top just a big stupid hole. I was wondering if it's possible to swap it for one with a flip top lid. Has anyone ever done this ?

I havent done this exact swap myself but from what I have seen and read it as easy. Only thing I dont know about is the PWR outlet in the bottom, if the plug is there or not. Personally I never use mine so I wouldnt care. I am getting ready to swap my center jumpseat out with a full floor console, when it stops raining!

Thanks for the reply... it sounds easy enough to do but I have to find a replacement console first, that seems like it could be the hard part. If you know of anyone or possibly where I can look for one please let me know.

I would check out gmpartsdirect.com, or newgmparts.com, they should have the parts you need

Also keep an eye on eBay, they pop up fairly often. Out of curosity what color is your interior? Like I said I will be swapping mine out soon. Mine is Lt Titanium. If that is the color you need let me know.

If you have the SLT interior you can use the Denali or all terrain cup holders. They fit right in, I just installed mine.

I swapped my LS console with and LT and the plug in was there. Its really easy use a couple socket wrenches with long extensions and just loosen the outer two bolts of the driver and passenger seats. Then remove the two inner bolts of the driver and passenger seat. Finally tilt the driver and passenger seat out to lift the console out. My wife and I did this in about 1/2 hour.

I would also like to get the brushed aluminum cup holder for my slt if anyone has the part numbers required to do this and where they can be bought anywhere other than the dealer let me know thanks
