Where can i find a quality set of 4.56 gears for my truck and still be able to use the current eaton locker. i will not put junk on my truck

Yukon gears man....or randy's ring and pinion.

Gear size wont stop you from using your locker...all replacement gears fit on the same bolt holes. As long as you get gears to fit your current rear diff you will be able to use the same locker.

without that tab on my diff. how can i find outwhat size it is, whether its 8.5 , 8.6 etc.

Apparently it doesn't matter.

 

But from everything I have read you should have an 8.6" 30 spline

But the 8.5" 30 spline will fit and be just as strong.

and what does it mean not having an ABS ring? I didn't realize any part of the differential had anything to do with the brake system. Unless its an acronym for something im not aware of

They're for older 8.5" rearends. The non ABS ones. I believe the pinion shaft is shorter on the older rearends.

 

 

Your best bet is to give Randy's a call...they will tell you exactly what you need for your truck.
