Im getting ready to put a set of Buckshot's on my 09 Z. 275/65/18s that are 8 ply. I have read alot of reviews on them and most say they are good as long as you keep them balanced and rotated. Im getting them mounted, balanced and installed out the door for 684 (171) a tire. Pretty good for a 18 inch mud tire.

Anyone running these or had these before? I know alot of guys stationed in Louisianna ran them and got good mileage and pretty good performance out of them and i know they are no superswamper but they are the basic tread patterent that have been on MT's for years. If i get 40-50K out of them i'm satisfied.

As always this forum are based on experiance and opinions so lets hear what you got!

I have them on my farm truck. As for wear, I cant say, as 80% of my driving is in a field. I have had them on the rear of my '98 for about 5 years now. They are dry rotted a bit but still hold air with plenty of grip left.

Hell ,I dont even have mine balanced and they ride pretty well on road at 55mph.

Dad had some. We both hated them. Terribly noisy and didn't last long. You couldn't even talk while going down the road because the noise was so loud. That was keeping them rotated. Needless to say we didn't go back...

Im pretty sure they will be louder than the stock tires, noise isnt as much of a factor as off road performance. And i know they wont be a super swamper but they'll get me in and out of the field to the deer stand. Thats my main concern is not getting stuck in 3 inches of mud not 16.
