My wife did it again.

I wasn't a member last time this happen so most of you are wondering what in the world did she do now. Well last september she went grocery shopping and (2 different days) first day spent over ? in food. All non cold stuff. Walked out by paying only ?. The next day she bought cold stuff and it was ?, she walked out paying ?. Well saturday she went and it was ?. (Nothing cold) She walked out with them owing her ? She is one heck of a coupon lady. Most of you are wondering what would we do with all this food and we give alot of it away. To our Church, and a few single mothers we know. And my sister. I don't mind it. So tell your wives to start cutting those coupons. It helps when it is sale time as well. And get those store cards to save money.

I wish she could shop that well for a truck. She has to let me get my hands in the account for them mods. That don't happen to often.

That is exactly what people call her.

Mervz, it does feel good to help. And it don't bother me because the food don't cost alot. If she didn't coupon and we paid regular price for the food then things would be different.

patrick, I didn't mean TELL your wives in a bad way. Just a suggestion to them. And I do help my wife cut them out. (when she tells me to)

I bet those checkers hate to see you and your wife come walking in with four shoeboxes full of coupons. How long does it take you to get through the line?

I will say she sounds really devoted to saving money.

I do not go with her on her grocery trips. She has all her coupons in a little box separated out. She will fill a cart take it to the front and go get another. This last time she had 7 carts full. She does not go through the line. They check her out at the service desk. The computers usually mess up after ? worth of coupons. So it's easier to get the lanes free and do it there. She was gone for 8 hours saturday. I hate going in the grocery store for 30 minutes. She calls it her quiet time.

Maybe you could get her to write up some tips on which things will get the best return and so forth. My church runs a pantry and I know that alot of people would love to know how to get that much more food to donate.

It is rare to find someone who will put in that much time to do something for others. She must be a special lady.
