Noisy Leaf Springs

I noticed a squeaking noise while going over bumps that has steadily gotten worse as time has gone by. I can bounce the tail and it is extremely loud. It is in only the drivers side leaf spring and sounds like old rusty metal flexing. There is no side to side noise either, only up and down. If it rains, the noise stops. I think that my leaf pack rubbing together is causing the noise. Any other ideas or seen this before?

I've been having exactly the same problem, only mine is a 2009 Sierra with less than 5000 kms on it. The noise started in the passenger side springs but now both springs are making the noise. It's kind of embarrassing when my new truck sounds like my father in law's 10 year old ford used to sound...

Hey guys. I had the same problem with my 09 sierra ext. cab here is the topic I had going followed with the solution. Bring it to the dealer and inform them of the fix, its under warranty.
