Grille Insert

I will be getting a 2010 GMC 1500 at some point and will want to replace the stock grille. The below grille seems to have a nice look in that it looks like it has somewhat of a factory look by looking similar to the wire grille inserts in the Silverado, so what are some thoughts on this Alumiwire Mesh Grille by Precision ?

Not a fan. But then again, I don't think i've ever seen a grille insert that I liked.

That one... looks... ok... I don't really like the fact that you can see the real grill underneath. Why don't you get an actual custom grill instead of an insert?

I'm not sure I follow the distenctin between insert and custom. They do have a cutout version (is that what your referring to) and that is what I would look for and then mount the emblem back over. The picture is a little misleading I guess.

What I was referring to is a custom grill that completely replaces the factory grill. It doesn't go over the factory grill, it replaces it.

Kind of looks like the Denali grill shell. I might have on for sale.

I get the custom idea now and I think the cutout style where you remove the factory three bar section woudl get you there or am I wrong on that one?

 

I still have the denali grill as an option but I thought this might be a good twist on it. I'm going to order the truck so have a while to wait, hopefuly you sell yours before then but if not I'll look you up depending on what I end up going with.
