Ok well I am lost and I dont wana go to the dealer as they just charge out the butt to tell u its this or that(not really) but I am having an issue with my truck thats new to me and concerns me. For some reason and this is just happening now never before, when I unlock my truck the time on the radio comes on(never noticed before so it may be normal) but sometimes when I unlock my truck the radio will come on and play for a second or two then shut off, and other times if u have it unlocked n unlock it again while inside the truck it will turn on n stay on till you physically turn it off( this is before the key even touches the ignition), now recently(including right now) when I go to unlock/lock the truck the time on the radio is still on and wont go away unless I take the fuse out, when I put the fuse back in the clock comes back on n stays on, even with the truck off and the clock is on you can turn the radio on and listen to it as if the truck is running normal but its totally off. Does anyone have a clue as to what the heck is going on as this is driving me nuts and I dont wana come out to a dead battery as I just got a new one a few days ago, like i said the clock itself is on showing the time whereas before it would go away when you open the door, also my drivers side door window switches are not powering down the windows am I ok to make the assumption that the switches are shot(the switches are for both the driver n passenger side windows) but the passenger side switch powers the passenger side perfectly.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Ground Faults.

My guess....and first place I would start is in the drivers door. Since the windows and radio are both powered when you shut off the truck for 15 min, and the door locks are always powered, I would say you have a couple wires shorting. Your 15min power circuit is probably getting powered from the lock circuit, and the ground is a broken wire on the window motor. A check for this....get the radio to come on, using the unlock button like you stated as a problem, and wait 15 min to see if it shuts off by its self. Than you know that its getting powered from the lock/unlock circuit.

Also....try holding the window switch up or down, while you lock and unlock repeatedly to see if the window moved any while it locks and unlocks.

This is not easy to search through...I hate hunting for ground faults.

I had both my regulators n motors on my windows fixed because they both died and when I had the local place do it he was done in like 30-40 mins both sides, is it possible he messed something up ? Also on occasion when I have the door open and unlock it to see it makes a fast clicking sound as if a battery connection isnt fully connected, also both the driver side n driver side(passenger)window swtiches are not working at allbut the passenger side switch works fine.

Fault could also be in the switches.

Well is it safe to say that whatever they did when they redid the regulators/motors that they messed something internally in the door as they disconnected alot to take the door panel off
