Help On Dickering

Awhile ago I remember a thread that someone started that stated Gm offer a "butler" service where they would wash and clean your truck and detail it like twice a year or something. Am I making this up or is there such a deal when buying a new truck? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Could be something thats dealer specific...I never heard of it...My dealership washes it for me every time I bring it in for service...thats about all....even the used vehicles are detailed by another company on contract.

 

You could be right though...I'm sure you would pay like twice what you would from a normal detail service though...LOL

Yeah...than it was probably a dealer specific thing....

 

My dealership just finished with an Olympic package...as they called it.

 

You Got 2 tickets to the 2010 Olympics...free oil changes (conventional only) for the duration of the full warranty(5 year 60K km)...and a 12 month free subscription to XM.

 

It too was a deal closing throw in.

My dealership here doesnt do anything...I took my truck in when I got the leaking Rack and Pinion replaced and they gave it back to me even dirtier than I had given it to them. When I left I was thinking to myself that every other brand dealer ive dealt with have always washed my cars. Boo to Pearson GMC in Sunnyvale Ca!!

I made a deal with a Pontiac-Buick-GMC dealer a few years ago... the salesman told me that whenever the vehicle needed to be serviced, the dealership would provide a complimentary car for customer use... kind of a nice sales perk!

 

... signed the papers, got the insurance, had the new plates on the new vehicle and in my little last minute chitchat with the sales manager, I mentioned that I really liked that complimentary car deal when having the vehicle in for service... he told me that there was no such arrangement... and no car would be available

 

... so I reached over to his desk, grabbed my certified cheque and ripped it up... then told him to get my plates off that car because I was leaving

 

... sometimes you just have to deal that way

 

... I went out the next day to a different dealership and made my purchase and bonus... even saved a few hundred bucks

The Auto Butler service. Complete exterior and interior detail. I think he said he paid $100 for 6(?) treatments.

You don't want dealership detailers touching your truck. Trust a professional detailer on this, the 16-year-old buffer jockeys will inevitably screw something up, eventually.

They told me the only way I would be able to get a loaner car while they worked on mine was if they kept it overnight....wait it gets better....So when they needed to keep it overnight they told me to come pick it up and drop it back off in the morning just so they woudnt have to give me one....isnt that something? When I had my VW they would always give me a loaner car no matter what, And I think of a VW to be a lower vehicle than GMC, but I was wrong! Those loaner Turbo GTI's are a blast!!
