I currently have the stock GM cd radio in my Z71 and am wanting to either add an ipod input or replace the radio with a GM one w/ input. I don't want any aftermarket units. What you guys think?

I think you should buy an aftermarket HU with ipod controls. You can find ones for $110.00 and up and they will sound better and have more power than a stock HU.

They look to tacky to me. I'd rather have my radio modded or a newer GM radio that has the controls.

You can get the Peripheral iSimple, I've got one with my stock headunit. It looks stock except for the wire that plugs into the ipod (which I have mostly hidden behind the dash), and it charges the ipod too.
