I recently changed the original front shocks out of my 98 2wd and now i have a steering pull. What could this be caused by? i didnt do anything except for changing them out and i dont see how that would do anything. really confused.

hmmm, did you look at both shocks and make sure they were equal in length? You could have got one boxed wrong...... Any ride problems since. Bumping, bottoming out, squeaking.... etc that you did not have prior to the shock change?

Other than that I can not see a steering change from shocks!!

the shocks were the same, and i dont know for sure about the ride height, i mean these are oem replacements from monroe through napa-the reflex gas kind.

Shock absorbers only dampen movement and cannot change ride height providing there for the vehicle they are installed on. Rotating tires at the time the shocks were installed probably the problem.

i didn't rotate the tires...but should I? they are not due for another 1000 miles.

Well, IMO if you haven't had it aligned in a while, rotate you tires and then get it aligned and then you should be all set

I will try that, I have 122,000 on it now and the last time I had an alignment was at 100,000 when I had the tires put on. And plus those old shocks probably jostled it out of alignment.
