Do I Have An Electrical Problem?

My 2008 Silverado had not been started for about 10 days. Today, I started it remotely and cleaned off 8 inches of snow while it warmed up. I turned it off with the remote and it set for another hour. My wife and I then used the truck to run errands. At one of the stops I noticed the clock was reading hours off. When I went into the set mode is showed the date as 01/01/2004. When I returned home I noticed that my Onstar Diagnostic email had arrived and it showed no problem.

Anyone with any ideas?

Thanks

My 08 2500HD was resetting the radio clock to 12:00 every now and then. Dealer cleaned a fuse/relay and the problem has yet to resurface again . I didn't ask about the tsb but there was one out there on this they told me.

I'm sure one of the techs on here could help you with that. My trucks battery never not start the truck. That was one of the questions they asked me when I took it in. Was fixed "for now" under warranty.

Hope this helps....

Thanks for that information. Like you, my battery has not ever failed to start the truck. the Service Advisor told me to keep an eye on it and if it hapened again bring it in for service. If no problems thay will take a look at next oil change.

Had the same issues on my old 07. The issue seemed to improve once I tightened down on the battery cables. Also I had an aftermarket alarm/remote start professionally installed, it may have caused issues as well.
