All,

Ok folks, I put up a fair picture of my truck (although the angle could be better) in the test area.  Is it stock off the dealer lot or what???Want to add a couple of things, fender flares and some mud flaps...what do you guys vote for? Make, size and color.  The tires are as big as they will ever be (sorry RyanBab!)  Should I go with the basic black opn the flares? Paint them to match trim???Want the flares and flaps to fit together.  Please help out with your vote.  For those of you in Florida remember, one vote per person and please punch all the way through the forum to make sure your vote counts...

Here's an idea that I think would look good.  You could get a set of factory flares (kinda pricey from what I understand if you purchase them seperate) and have them painted to match the pewter.  Husky makes some very nice moled mud flaps for the factory flares.  They could also be painted pewter or left black.  I think either way they would look good.  Check out Ryanbab's site.  http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?username=ryanbab   he has the Huskey flaps with factory flares and they look and fit very nice.  I have Bushwacker Street Flares and i like them alot, but it was hard for me to find a set of molded mud flaps that I liked.  I went through 6 sets before I finally found some I liked.  You can see pics of them in the Aftermarket section of this site.  I would have liked to use the Husky flaps, and I actually ordered a set, but had to return them because they didn't fit with my flares.

Good luck.

If you are wantig to stay with a close to factory look, get the Bushwacker OE series flare.

My youngest brother added them to his 2000 Z71 and I think it looks great.

IMO,if you are going to add flares, have them painted pewter to match the color they will be surrounded by.

IMO, I would get the flares painted pewter.  I don't think the new Silverados look that good without the flares, and having the flares match the bottom color on the two tone paint makes them look that much better.

I would also make sure they match the look of the factory flares to matter what brand you buy.  Have you ever noticed how bad Ford trucks look when people put flares on them, they just don't look right because only GM offers them as a option.

Definately paint the flares pewter.  I've seen them color matched to the 2-tone paint and it is beautiful.  I like the factory look myself but Bushwacker does make one so close to OEM that only a few people would ever notice that they aren't stock.
