Amp Install - 2006 Silverado Extended Cab

I've seen other posts where people mention mounting an amp behind the rear seat in an extended cab. My question is, how much room is there between the back wall and the back of the seat? My amp is 2.5 inches high, will it fit and will the seat still fold up or will the amp hinder the operation of the folding seat?

2.5 will be close. Mine was about 2 and it was tight with the bracket i made. I would push on the back of the seat some. You should check out the guys at the SS forums they seem to be more into the audio equip. And there is also a "how to" on making your rear seat back fold down. That is really handy especially if you need the access
