I'd like to provide a clarification

About my recent communication

Regarding the current global situation

Between America...and the Afghan nation

 

My recent talk with the Taliban

Over in Afghanistan

Has caused controversy to beat the band

And drawn a big line in the sand

 

The focus of this worldwide drama

Is the man they call Osama

Who has put our nation into trauma

like nothing else since Vietnam-a

 

But our resolve has begun to harden

Against the man they call bin Laden

He's like the snake in the ancient garden

For his recent deeds...there is no pardon

 

So i propose an intermission

Before you are bombed into submission

And face the threat of nuclear fission

From the international coalition

 

For each and every Ameri-cahn

From Paula Zahn to Elton John

sSands firm against the Taliban
