Hid Light Kit...

Recommended Posts

hello,

I want to change my original bulbs for HID kits. I contacted my dealer to get the model numbers. Here it is:

Low beam = H11

High Beam = 9005LL

Fog Beam = gm part 25839897

I'm not sure if I got the right part numbers from the dealer because I searched on the internet for 9005LL and found out it was low beam, not high.

Do you guys know a little bit about what kits to order for my silverado 2009 extended cab?

thanks a lot for your help!

If you have any brand that you recommend me to buy, please tell me!

Good choice! HID is an awesome upgrade - for both looks and increased visibility. You will need a H11 6000K kit for low beams, 9005 6000k kit for highs, and 5202 (aka H16, 9009) 6000k kit.

Thank you for your search. Sylvania only offer regular bulb, not HID kits. Do you guys know any brand that you recommend and websites to buy them with good prices?

That search on sylvanias website can be used to see what kinda bulb u gotta get.... example- 9005 / 9006 / etc.....

As for HID kits, i just bought a DDM kit for my fog's... havent put it in yet tho, too damn cold out and snowing...

The reason i went with DDM is i read a lot of great reviews of there products and they offer a lifetime warranty which is a big plus!

x3 on ddm

For the guys that went with ddm, did you go with 35w or 55w for the low beam? Were there any heat issues with the 55w?

thanks for your help guys!

I would like to know if 35W is enough or if I should take 55W... Where I am, the rule say maximum 65W but I do not want to cause problem for other drivers... Sometimes, when it is too bright, it is not good!

Who have the experience here with 55W? Does it worth the price and the light?

35w is bright enough.

What does the light pattern look like with out projectors?

8000K lows, 8000k fogs - not mine and not in a silverado, only pic I have of the HID light pattern in a reflector housing.
