Wiring Up Aftermarket Stereo

Recommended Posts

Posted

Hey guys, I picked up last week 05' sierra crew last week and one of the thing on my list is to install a aftermarket stereo. Im pretty new to the truck scene when it comes to modding them, been a BMW guy all my life but I needed a truck for the winter.

From my research, in order to replace the factory Bose headunit, add a subwoofer/amp to the existing system, include Ipod interface and still use all my steering wheel controls im gonna need a few adaptors

can someone just point me in the right direction here and let me know if ive got down the correct adaptors. I found all these from the PAC site.

PAC AOEM-GM24 - ability to connect aftermarket amp/sub to existing BOSE system.

SWI Jack - ability to keep my Steering Wheel Controls

OS- 2 Bose - Radio Replacement adaptor ( for alpine head unit )

and im not sure which Ipod adaptor i will need.

If anyone has some input that would be greatly appreciated. I apologize if this topic has been covered, im new to the site and just trying to figure out the navigation process.

thanks in advance.

Matt
