Front End Chatter

I have been searching the site but havent found what I am looking for yet.

I have an 06 Sierra AWD/4WD. When coming to a stop, I hear a type of clicking noise coming from what seems like the left side of the front end. If I am pulling into a parking lot and release the brakes, the clicking doesnt go away. I havent tried anything yet b/c I dont know where to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We need to know which it is Lol. I'm guessing it's a 4wd with the Auto 4x4...?

We need to know which it is Lol. I'm guessing it's a 4wd with the Auto 4x4...?

Yes it is a 4wd with Auto option. Sorry about that.

I would also like to mention that it doesnt do it every time. Actually in 10 mile drive with about 10 points that I have to slow down or stop. It may only be a problem one or two times.

After really trying to listen to it today. It sounds a lot like something is rubbing (like a tire to plastic), but I cant see anyplace that is rubbing, and it does it when turning, straight, and only when it wants to.

I began to notice it a couple of weeks ago while in 4W Hi in the snow in VA. Could this have anything to do with it or just coincidence?

ANYONE?????
