2006 Tahoe Coolant Flush

took the 2006 tahoe to the dealer and had coolant flushed and refilled but the reservoir tank has a blackish build up on inside of the tank above the coolant,thought they would clean the tank duing this process?? do i need to have the tank cleaned or just let it go???they did refill with dexcool

Same thing happened to my '06 when I flushed mine recently with only 34K miles. I can't imagine how bad it would look going 100K without a flush. Just swab out the crap from the top of the reservoir tank from time to time and it eventually goes away.

I wouldn't worry about it. The poop just floats to the top. Maybe try some extra long Q-Tips to sponge the stuff out if it bugs you. I've written it off as cosmetic.
