So I took the wife's truck out today and drove about 40 miles or so, when I was pulling into a parking space the front end was buckling and binding like it was stuck in 4WD. I kjnow the truck is AWD but its like one of the diffs is stuck in the locked position. Has anyone heard of this problem before and whats the resolution? It apparently only happens when the truck is driven for a pretty good distance but around town there are no issues.

you may have a CV joint going bad. also drain your front diff. and check for any metal on the plug. is there any noise when driving??

Changed the front diff fluid, there was some metal on the plug but no chunks just small shavings. Both CV boots appear to be plyable. It only happens when you drive the truck for more than 30 minutes. Otherwise there is no noise and the steering is fine. But after an extended distance when I pull into parking spots and make sharp turns the steering wheel is not even fully locked and the front wheels start chirping and it feels like its stuck in 4WD.
