Rubbing Noise/feeling In Column

Hi guys, when I turn the steering wheel in my '00 Z71, I hear a rubbing noise just in the column. I feel a tiny bit of friction as well. Feels like something is rubbing in the column itself and not the driveshaft or power steering. What do you guys think? Maybe that steering sensor?

I'm getting a rubbing or creeking sound as well. I'm thinking clockspring. Does it seem like it's coming from right behind the wheel?
