Sway Bar Adjustment After Level?

Recommended Posts

hi all, haven't posted much but been reading up! I put a lower strut spacer leveling kit on, only 1.5", just unbolted the strut and let most pressure off the sway bar and popped in the spacers.

I can't get the sway bar to tighten back up all the way. Is there an adjustment somewhere under the truck? Do you guys just torque the heck out of it and try to tighten the sway bar back down with the original end links? Seems like that would pull your tires up and you lost some of the lift. Please help. Thanks!

theres no sway bar adjustment. it may be a bit easier to get back on with both tires on the ground. ...or with both tires in the air.

...are you trying to get it back on with just one side off the ground? if so, that'd be pretty difficult to do.

the sway bar wont affect the ride height adjustment in this range of "lift"

Thanks! I did try to retighten after I drove it a couple miles but there was no difference. Still the bottom bushing isn't seated down like it was before, and it feels like if I turn much harder something will break/strip out. I'll try again now that I've put a couple hundred miles on it.

is it like that on both sides or just one side? might want to make sure that the nut isnt cross threaded on there.

It's the exact same way on both sides and I never took the nut all the way off, so not cross threaded. Thanks for the link! That's what I was hoping to find. I'll look at it more this weekend when I'm putting on the 1.5" body lift :happysad: I've done about 6 body lifts before but man it sure seems like a lot of work now lol. Faster I get it done the faster it's over with though :fume:
