Volant Cai?

I know this has been discussed as I have searched and read other post. My question to those that have this intake installed is do you recommend this intake and did you see any type of gains with it other than looks and sound? I recently installed a Magnaflow dual exhaust and will probably install this next followed by a tune. I have been looking at the Volant and will probably be installing one of these with the powercore dry filter. Just looking for a few opinions on the Volant.

I had the Volant installed.

Throttle response is substantially faster, the lag is gone when you step on it. Off the line, 50 mph, you will see a big difference.

Intake Air Temps are also substantially reduced, (I have a Edge Evolution, so it displays these) I normally see IAT of about 3-4 deg F higher than ambient temps with the Volant, as opposed to say 25-40 above ambient with the stock intake.

Cant really estimate HP gains, but the 17 or whatever Volant claims cant be far off. Noticeable power gains.

You will not regret buying this intake, 100% recommend it.

 

Edit: I initially used the CAI without the edge programmer, works great with or without tuning.

Thanks for the input. Will be ordering tomorrow. Work offshore so trying to time it so that it arrives home the day I do. If it beats me home the wife may hold it hostage until all the honey do's are done.

You definitely wont regret getting the volant cai. I have the cai and exhaust and you definitely loose the lag and you get a nice exhaust tone, not too loud, but nice. Good luck.
