In my 08 one of my remotes moves the seat forward when unlock is pressed. The other remote does not. The manual doesnt really discuss this, Anyone know how to change the setting?

There should be a number on the back (1 or 2)....Its meant to be set up as driver 1 and driver 2, as in your set of keys and your wife's set of keys, so the vehicle is set up to the way you like it when you get in.

08 what? You didn't say what kind of vehicle or options. But I will go over it with what I think you might have. 08 Silverado, memory seats, remote, dic controls. Out of that manual,

From Memory Seat, Mirrors, and Pedals

If you use the remote keyless entry transmitter to enter your vehicle and the remote recall memory feature is on, automatic seat, adjustable mirror, and adjustable pedal movements will occur. See "MEMORY SEAT RECALL" under DIC Vehicle Customization for more information.

From Dic customization (with dic buttons)0

MEMORY SEAT RECALL

If your vehicle has this feature, it allows you to select your preference for the remote memory seat recall feature. See Memory Seat, Mirrors, and Pedals for more information.

Press the customization button until MEMORY SEAT RECALL appears on the DIC display. Press the set/reset button once to access the settings for this feature. Then press the customization button to scroll through the following settings:

OFF (default): No remote memory seat recall will occur.

ON: The driver's seat and, on some vehicles, the outside mirrors will automatically move to the stored driving position when the unlock button on the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter is pressed. On some vehicles with the adjustable throttle and brake pedal feature, the pedals will also automatically move. See "Relearn Remote Key" under DIC Operation and Displays for more information on matching transmitters to driver ID numbers.

NO CHANGE: No change will be made to this feature. The current setting will remain.

To select a setting, press the set/reset button while the desired setting is displayed on the DIC.

Both drivers have the ability to have the remote function recall the seat/mirror/pedal positions. Each individual driver must activate memory seat recall on the dic by navigating to memory seat recall and changing the setting to on.
