"how-to" Front Door Speakers (2003)

Did a search. I have an '03 single cab truck that I want to put new speakers in. It has the mesh grilles, do they come off or do I have to remove the panels?

My 06 GMC I had to remove the door panels (both front and rear doors as I have a crewcab). The mesh on mine you have to bend the tabs on it over to keep it in place plus the silly GM speaker holder design on the fronts I don't believe would come through the door panel opening. Watch your spacing on the new speakers!! You might need spacers so your windows work properly!!

anybody know if the stock speakers are 4 ohm or 2 ohm? This is for a 2002 sierra
