Chrome Bumpers Pitting?

Recommended Posts

Okay guys I just finished doing a good wash on my truck since winter and noticed what I thought was just dirt and water stains on my front and rear bumpers is actually pitting or something and a couple rust spots are starting to show. I am wondering if I should go to the dealer right away about it ( my truck is an 09 sierra with only 9000k ) or try buffing it out. Any one else have similar problems I tried searching and came up with just "rail dust" on the paint. Thanks

Yeah, I just gave my truck a good washing for the first time this year last week, the chrome on the bumper end caps had loads of rust spots near the bottom part of the bumper, and where it met the top of the bumper looked like water stains that ran halfway down the whole length of thr bumper.

TRY THIS

IT IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!

Got rid of the all the rust spots/"water stains"

I truly wish I had taken a picture of the bumper before because it lreally looked like absolute SHIT.... I spent not even 5 minutes using this stuff and it literally looks as good as NEW!!!

Take it in. Dealers around here are replacing bumpers on the '09s for similiar problems.

Well I tried the never dull and that stuff worked AMAZING!! Seriously couldn't believe what a good job it did. I still may take the truck in because the bottom of my rear bumper is really rusted but everything looks great now thanks for the info guys.

You should take it in...I have had both my front and rear bumpers replaced on my 09 already and the newer ones look like they might hold up better than the first.
