jblakeney Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Do Cross Drilled Rotors eat away your pads faster? Should not (At least in theory, dunno never really did any comparison). Pad floats on the rotor does not bit until the rotor stops spinning (the pad cause heat which is resistance which causes the truck to stop)... Kinda like your engine the crank really does not ride on the mains or rod bearings.... If the crank road on the main/rod bearing you would have nice CHUNKS of shinny stuff in your oil when you change your oil. Plus you would be draining it to bring it in to get it rebuilt. Jbo
r1byker Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 In my experience, no. Got 'em on my motorcycles and put Brembo cross-drilled on my Suburban and the pads are all good.
