How To Program O2 Sensor Delete?

Recommended Posts

I have a 99 Suburban (old body style) with not Catalytic converters. What is the cheapest method to eliminate the Rear O2 sensors so that my check engine light won't come on? I have heard Diablo will work but that is $350!

Thanks!

Spark plug defoulers can be purchased cheaply from auto parts stores. They act as spacers that lift the rear O2 sensors out of the main blast of exhaust, but still keep them reporting everything as A-OK.

I think I'll start with the spark plug defoulers and report how it goes.

Just wanted to let everyone know the defoulers worked perfectly. I put two on one O2 but couldnt sqeeze two on the other so it appears on this model at least, you only need one defouler on each O2 sensor.

Thanks!

did you have to do anything to the defouler like drill one part out because i can't remember where i was reading but guys said they had to drill them out with a 1/2'' drill bit or is there different size defoulers

I would like to purchase some o2 sensor simulators or eliminators myself. I put headers on and a custom side exit exhaust. The headers had a place for the front sensors but there is no place for the rears and I don't want to attempt drilling in my custom exhaust possibly destroying it or causing a leak. I can not find them on internet searches. Currently I have them disconnected from the frame harness and stored in toolbox.

Anybody have any solutions for what I want to purchase? (dummy o2 sensors)
