Gmt 800 Drivers Window Problem

Hi folks,

 

Im having a small annoying issue with my truck. Now that the nice weather is apon us I've been driving with my window down again

 

Anyhow when I hit the window switch I hear a loud banging/slamming noise when the window gets down to the lowest position,then while im driving I hear a constant rattleing noise coming from inside the door but only when the window is down.Anyone ever had any problems with there windows?

My 2003 did that just before the regulator crapped out. I bought a new one on Amazon for $40 and installed it in about 30 minutes.

I use to have a Cherokee that went through window regulators like I go through socks,I cant win with windows........lol

Double check and make sure non of the bolts are loose. Mine had a bad rattle and would get stuck coming up. Thought it was the motor until I checked and one of the bolts attached the the arm assy was loose.

Pulled the door panel off yesterday and turns out I had the same problem as you.

The bolt at the bottom was loose.When I was checking the other bolts holding the regulator I noticed they all have red lock tight on them but the two at the bottom didnt so I put some lock tight on them too and its all good now.

Im glad I didnt have to change the regulator

cool I was in the same boat. I was thrilled when I seen it was just the bolt.
