Are The Wiring Harness & Fuse/relay Blocks All The Same?

My 1999 Suburban 2500 was RPO'd "YG6" (NO factory AC). From what I can tell, the harness has many unused pigtails/plugs in the dash (3 down the RH side of instrument cluster), which leads me to believe that all the harnesses are the same, regardless of factory options. The compressor bracket is present also.

Would like to know if the needed connections (compressor/relays/fuses/controls) for installing AC are present?

Thanks Robert.

I've got much less than $2k (including tax/registration/tags & a full tank of fuel) in this truck, so new parts were never in the plan. "Cash for Clunkers" means the [junk]yards are FULL of older, "less efficient" vehicles ready to be picked clean! The few I've spoken with locally will sell *everything* for the AC setup for less than $100... just have to go pull it off/out. (I bought 2 complete TBI setups (1-5.7L & 1-4.3L) from one last year for $180)

A $100 and some time in the garage (with a cold adult beverage :D ) is well within my means... I just need to know if the needed circuits already exist in the harness, before I buy the parts. If not, I probably won't pursue it and do as you say, just roll down the windows!

To tell you the honest truth....for 100 bucks I'd be willing to try and make it fit...whats the worst thing that can happen...it doesn't work and your out a few bucks and a few beers.

Just don't charge the system till your certain the setup is working. Than ensure you change all the o-rings to be 100% sure you will not have a leak.

If you needed to buy much in the way of new parts, I agree with Rob.
