DJM Lowering Kit on Av

I see that DJM has a suspension lowering kit for 2wd Avs.  Anyone have any experience with these products?

i have the djm 4/6 on mine and imo they make the best lowering products out.

My goal is to lower the front passenger doorway 4-5 inches so my disabled wife can enter easier.  Are air bags another viable option for entry / exit while retaining normal ride height when underway?  Also, is work of this type best left to professionals?

 

She really likes the ride height of my son's S-10, but can't stand the ride quality.  She loves the ride quality of the Avalanche but frequently has problems entering.  (This means I have a strained back making up the difference.)
