Starter Problems Plz Help Me!

I have been having problems with the starter on my 1984 high sierra. i have only owned this truck for a few days and I cant seem to get the starter to stop making noise. It is mounted correctly and there does not appear to be any physical damage on the teeth of the starter or on the flywheel. I have already tried shimming the starter but it is still noisy. I went to autozone to see if the wrong starter was installed but the one they showed to me was the exact same starter. Any suggestions??

You might want to return it to Autozone. I've had problems with some of their parts, probably because they are rebuilt parts. Return it, and see if you can do any better.
