Plastic Wheelcovers

I have a 08 3500HD dually with the chromed over plastic wheel covers, or simulators that came stock on this ltz. I have lost 2 off the rear in the last 6 months or so. They are getting expensive. Has anybody else had this problem, and done anything about it? My only option is to go with some aftermarket stainless or chrome simulators, but I shouldn't have to on an expensive truck like this. I know they have come off while driving, because I actually saw one come off. So that rules out them getting stolen. The truck looks like shit without them, in my opinion.

I believe that I wuld have pressured my dealer to replace the wheel covers under warranty...and then let GM figure a way to keep them on.

At work we have ford trucks, but the idea is the same.

We have polished / chrome metal simulators that are held in place by bolts and they seem to do the job.

BTW these are on ambulances that are in urban environment with poor streets / narrow streets so the wheels / tires get abused daily and they seem to hold in place well. Lots of them are actually scared from curb rubs and various things.

So my vote would be take the remaining 2 covers and sell and get some wheel simulators you like that are some how attached to the wheels other than by friction.
