on the way home last night my check engine light came on and the engine shuts down to about 4 cylinders i pulled off the road and cut it off nothing seems to be leaking but i went to try the truck again it ran fine but check engine light stayed on bout 2 miles down the road it did the same thing. ive had so much trouble with this truck its not even funny from the computer going bad the water pump wheel bearings now this i know that water pump and wheel bearings wear out but it all hit at the same time i think i bought a lemon!!!!! other than the 45 cal holes in the fenders and the radiator what do ya think is wrong with it if anybody know????

Sounds like it went into limp mode for some reason. This only lets the truck rev so high, go so fast, ect. It's a measure the truck takes to not self-destruct when something goes wrong.

Na I've limped it befor I know what that's like and the check engine light wouldn't come on this on the other hand knocks when it does it sounds like a injection pump on a old tractor but it's louder the truck has no power what so ever and runs like crap but I can start it up a few times and it will stop for a few miles other than that I guess I gota wait till I can get it to a computer and check it
