Drivers Side Blowing Hot Air

Recommended Posts

I have a 04 silverado with the standard non digital dual zone a/c set up. Yesterday the drivers side started blowinf hot air while the passenger side continued to blow cold air. I stopped and turned off the truck then restarted it and it started to blow cold again. Does any one know what happened and how I could fix it?

You've got both a left and right air temperature actuator....one has obviously gone south.

You have a tempdoor actuator located at the bottom of the console. you temp door actuator either has read low voltage or high voltage in which it defaults to hot. You have a bad temp door actuator. Replace the actuator...may have to have a relearn performed on it with a tech 2 or it may just learn it's voltage values by adjusting the slide from hot to cold and back to hot.
