I don't believe it will work in your 09. The update required for you 09 takes up more memory than the diablo came with.

 

Just make sure it will work 100% before you purchase. I ran into that issue when I sold my diablo to a fellow member who had an 09.

oh? i just looked up the number in his ad and checked it on the diablo website and it does say 09 5.3 ltr? im not sure how else to look into this?

Yes, it's the same model number, but you need to check your Software or Firmware version to see if it works on an 09.
