Stabilitrack And Traction Control

Wondering if anyone can help me on this one or has had a similar problem. I have about 23k on my 08 silverado. I started my car up after leaving my firehouse and my abs and traction control light turned on and the DIC displayed, Stabilitrack Off, Traction Control Off, Service Stabilitrack, Service Traction Control. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it a bad sensor or something more serious, its going into the dealer soon to get the two rear door locks fixed as they dont work anymore but that wont be for about a week. Just would like to find out sooner if its something serious or small

I had that after I seafoamed my escalade. I unplugged the battery, left it for maybe 4 hours. Plugged it back in, messages gone.

I've had this happen to be once when I was at the In N Out Drive through, when I got home I turned off the truck for a couple of hours. At night turned the truck on and the message weren't coming back on, and it has been over a year and the service message haven't came back.

yes i had this problem at about 8k miles on my 09.... it ended up being the stabilitrac sensor in the steering column that went bad...

Well it seems to have gone away for now thank god. Thanks for the responses guys

yea, mine went away, then came back... i would tell the dealer so they will change it... or you could leave it alone, let it go out after your warranty and you pay for it... your choice..

I still plan on having them look at it when i go in for the door locks, but for now at least its gone until i can get in there in a week or so

Had this exact thing happen to me Sunday morning. It is at the dealer today getting looked at. I will report back when I find out what the dealer says is wrong with it.

UPDATE: Just heard back from the dealership. They told me it was a bad wheel sensor that was causing the lights and the service warnings. No biggie, my dealer has to order the part however.

Well the lights have been coming back on and off. Truck is in the shop right now getting the doors fixed and looked at the traction control. Im hoping that its just a bad wheel sensor like the rest of you are saying
