8.1 Coolant Change/drain

hey guys trying to change the coolant on this yukon 8.1

the lower hose is a three peice unit with no clamp and doesnt look like it come off very easy.

I found what looks like a drain on the drivers side but theres no flat or phillps head to loosen or open it.

how do i drain this

I took the coolant resevoir hose off to drain as much coolant as possible. I have a machine with a long hose that I then stuck down the hose to drain the bottom of the radiator. You could use a hand suction pump to drain the rest of the coolant. There is no radiator drain (Brilliant). If you would like to take the lower hose off, you can take a pick and remove the clip that holds the plastic hose fitting in place. Just be sure to move quickly or you will take a Dexcool shower!
