I just added the rear Firestone Air Assist bags. Very simple install and I am really satisfied with the look, ride and overall product. Now I was just wondering if its possible to add air bags/ride to the front end too. I know the rear's are just meant for a "assist" but I like the look of it being about 2-3" higher(without a load) and was wondering if this is possible to do on the front as well? Also, is it safe to leave air in the rear bags when I dont have a load? Will it damage my shocks and other susp. parts?

Is your truck 2wd or 4? I believe they have air assist shocks for some 2wd's, but I'm not sure about GMT-900's. Also yes, you should leave some air in the bags at all times, I think it's like 10 lbs. or so.

I have airbags as well and I have to say they are one of the best automotive investments I've ever made. Makes towing sooooo much better!

Yes you need to leave a min of 10psi in the rear at all times. I'm not sure if you went the compressor route but keep an eye on it occasionally. The bags hold so little air they are pretty susceptible to pressure changes due to air temp changes.

i was wondering the same thing. i have an 06 2500 hd 4x4 and i was wondering about an airbag setup for the rear for towing and for the front for ride quality with an onboard compressor.
